Jameson's Dedication

The main reason we went to Charleston was to finally have Jameson's dedication. We have been trying to plan for the longest time but we had to keep re-scheduling. We finally set a date and were able to have it done at Summit Church by one of our favorites-Pastor Jon "busted can of biscuits" Davis. We love you Jon!

As luck would have it, the AC was broke. So think of the Charleston heat, combined with the humidity, and add about 100 people in a church, this spells MISERY but we made it through. Woo-hoo!

We joined by friends and family, we are very thankful for those of you that joined us in this momentous occasion.
One of the funniest parts was as Jon was introducing us and giving some background information, Jameson happened to notice a piece of gum wrapper on the stage. He pointed this out to Jon and said "dat, dat". Jon explained that the members of the praise team had left it there. Jon continued and Jameson interupted him again by saying "dat, dat". I think that he was telling him to pick it up, that it is trash and it doesn't belong there. Eventually we did and threw it away. If you know me well, then you know without a doubt that, that is my child. I am a huge clean freak. Way to go Jameson! That's my boy!

Prior to praying, Jon gave Jameson a bible along with a letter. I think that this was the point that Jamey and myself realized the importance of this occasion. Jon had written Jameson a letter in which he is to open when he gives his life to the Lord. This made me put everything into perspective, how personal and amazing this journey with Jameson has been and will continue to be, that God has entrusted us with one of His miracles.

Afterwards the Richeys threw a little get together for the occasion. Thanks Jessica!
